About Us

This is not an academic platform. The Diary of an Evolved Feminist is a platform for authentic women’s voices on how feminism and the quest for equality with men has affected women’s quality of life and overall happiness. An Evolved Feminist seeks to be the best contribution she can be in society and to be happy. She is grateful for the opportunities that the feminist movement has opened up and is intentional about what she wants and what gives her tangible happiness. What we are not doing here is opening up a space for anyone seeking equality of sexes in its most perfect form. There’s enough academic literature on that, we are here to present an alternative theory that a woman’s happiness and her value and contribution to society cannot be defined by the latest gender debate or academic literature. A woman’s happiness is not woven in equality with men – and perhaps it shouldn’t be

PURPOSE

The Diary seeks to present an alternative theory for women, which is based on women and happiness. This theory embraces the differences of the sexes as its basis and the need to address women’s emotional needs as the core elements for women’s happiness. The Diary challenges the notion that there’s a unidimensional outlook of a successful woman and celebrates women in the plethora of informed choices they make to build a happy and harmonious society.

Inspiration

“It is inspired by all women who have been disillusioned by trying to conform or victimised for failing to conform to the feminist agenda around equality.”

The inspiration for the Diary comes from every career woman whose successes in the workplace hasn’t translated into inner joy and tangible happiness. Every housewife who feels her place and contribution in society is being undermined and discarded. And Every woman who at plus 40 has come to the realization that her biological clock ticks faster than that of a man

Vision

“A new world order where women are more obsessed about their contribution in building a happy and harmonious society than equality with men.”

The vision is to build a society where women are fully aware of the opportunities that the feminist movement has opened up for them but who embrace these opportunities with a recognition of their womanhood and where their happiness resides. Building a happy and harmonious society requires a lot more than the equality of the sexes.

Goals

“Encouraging women to make choices that give them tangible happiness.”

The goal is to encourage women to make choices that give them true happiness, that give them deep and meaningful fulfillment regarding their contribution to society. The goal is to build balanced and happy women for a better and harmonious society to emerge.

Join The Conversation and Share your Story

The Dairy of an Evolved Feminist provides a platform for Evolved Feminist – women who are making informed choices for happiness and harmony – to share their stories on how they are contributing  to building a happy and harmonious society.

If you are a kept woman or a housewife, we want to hear from you. How has your decision contributed to your quality of life, your happiness and that of your family and community? If you are a working class woman, share your story of how you juggle work and other things you are involved in. What are you doing to ensure that you are meaningfully happy and you are a source of harmony in society? If you are involved with a man, how are you keeping harmony going in your relationship?

Happiness is an individual experience and society should and cannot set standards and constructs of what makes us successful or happy. Our commitment is that your story, your voice, will be shared in its most original form. We urge our contributors to write in the first person narrative, it has to be your story, your experiences, your challenges and your journey to be a happy you.
